«A bad thing with wikis is that they are never complete.
Or is that a good thing?»

Community Pages

Welcome to the web4thejob wiki project. The purpose of this wiki is to serve as a common meeting place for all Community members who either seek or offer knowledge relevant to web4thejob.

Web4thejob is an open source java framework for the rapid development of data centric web applications. It is ideal for those who seek a component-based event-driven full-stack web development framework, capable of producing elegant desktop-style web applications that can automate any business domain. If this is the first time that you hear (or, better, read) about it, it would be better if you started your acquaintance with the project by visiting web4thejob@home.

This is a public wiki meaning that everyone is welcome to read, comment and contribute. The only two constraints (for obvious anti-spamming reasons) are that commentators should be authenticated by their favorite social network and contributors should be registered wiki users. Except where otherwise noted, content on this wiki is licensed under the license Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported.

The structure of this wiki consists of four major namespaces that categorize the content as described below:

  • MiniBooks: In here you can find the official project documentation written by selected authors.
  • Releases: In this namespace you can find the release notes of web4thejob and its subprojects.
  • Community Pages: This namespace is managed by the Community. Registered users can create and update pages freely. Read the How to contribute page for more information on this subject.
  • Miscellaneous: In here you you will find everything else that does not fit in the above categorization.

In parallel to the namespace categorization, the content is also characterized by tags. This way you can navigate easily to pages of similar content by simply clicking on the respective tag.

For your convenience, you can follow the activity on this wiki through XML Syndication feeds.
